In the gardens of Rundāle

It was a dream I had had for a long time – to have a photo session in the gardens of Rundāle Palace where I wander about in a dress made for me. But, that was just a fantasy with little hope. Probably because it wasn't a priority, but it always remained in my head, especially when I was invited to other photo sessions. There were many other fantastic photo sessions dear to my heart and soul, yet that urge to walk those gardens kept lurking around the corner.

One day, an Instagram message appeared. A woman wrote me asking if I would do a photo session that she would organize. We met for lunch and a coupe de champagne, Italian food, and a chat about everything except the photo session. With the clock ticking and tons of work to be done, we finally got to the topic that brought us together – the photo session. She asked me what I dreamt about location-wise and the same about the dress. I had two options, and thank God, the first one worked – this was just what I wanted. An afternoon in the gardens of Rundāle Palace with the sun kissing my shoulders and photographers running around to get that perfect shot. But the most perfect were those that just happened, as it always does, especially if you have a fantastic photographer, a beautiful dress, makeup, and the freedom to be yourself.

Thank you, ladies:
Gerda Sulče for the idea, dress, and all
Agneta Jonele for, as always, fantastic pictures
Baiba Tiltiņa for MUA
