Alps and the cinnamon bun

It was two weeks ago that I got into a car and, just 2 hours later, stepped out of the car to inhale the air of the Alps while listening to the cows gazing in the meadows as you can hear them very well with bells attached to each of them. I put on my hiking bag, full of water, tea, a houmous sandwich and a decently sized cinnamon bun, and with a cold northern wind blowing, I walked and walked and walked. It was one arduous hike this time, as not only the wind made it more complicated, but my life's happenings too, and self-motivation came very handy this time. As did the 20-person group of fast hikers that I had no desire to meet, yet their speed of light made me worry I would. But I was quicker, and in silence, I ate my sandwich at 1760 m height overlooking the lake of Annecy and snowy Mont Blanc far, far away. It was all I needed and made me the most pleased person in the world.

For those looking where to hike, it is Le Chalet de l'Aulp, Talloires, that you have to put in your Waze.
