In one of his songs, Gregory Porter sings, "I will stand by you" (which is not his song, but one that I love), and this weekend truly felt exactly like that—standing by each other. When it came to chopping, mixing, washing, eating, drinking, and teasing, we were there for one another. If I could, I would take each one of these amazing people I had the honour of teaching over the past three days and adapt them into my life. The menu was simple and French, full of butter, sugar, love, and laughter. Wine and joie de vivre were served, too.
