May 2025. Burgundy. Cooking weekend

26 recipes cooked and eaten.
A lot of wine bottles consumed.
Hours of laughter shared.
Many minutes of jokes told.
Minutes of teasing exchanged.
Kilometres walked.
Far too many cups of coffee drunk.

From lunches to dinners, market visits and strolls through the vineyards, swims in the pool and runs around the villages, the weekend was nothing short of amazing. Another stunning cooking weekend in Burgundy, Pommard, with people so generous, sweet, and beautiful, has come to an end — and I wish we’d stayed three more days. But not this time.

That said, I know some of them will return, and not just for a second time, as these days spent in my company seem to bring fabulous people together — something I truly cherish.

Now that everyone is back home, and the plates used over these past few days are back in the cupboard, I can honestly say I miss them already — their conversations, questions, wittiness, generosity, and big hearts.

Joie de vivre at its best.
