Yann Chave Crozes-Hermitage

They don't have generations of vintners in their family because as Nicole and Bernard Chave bought their vineyard in 1970: only four hectares – one Crozes-Hermitage appellation and the other three fruit orchards. Eventually they bought more and more vineyards around the area, and sold their wine to merchants and private clients. Things changed after 1996 when their son Yann Chave returned home and went for another wine where quality was a top priority, and it has stayed like that. Theirs, like many other wines from Crozes-Hermitage, have a deep red color with a generous palate where black fruits and cassis dominate. A very special bottle of wine, for sure.
