Pranamat

It was just after Emily was born that I was introduced to this mat. It was one of the prescribed remedies on the list I came away with from the doctor’s office to help with my stress, tiredness, and muscle tension. And that was around sixteen years ago. It wasn’t available online back then. I bought it in a special sale, and sixteen years later (although it was still in perfect condition), I gave it to a friend and got this one instead. Fiery red — the colour I’d wanted ever since it first came out.

But what’s the deal with this Pranamat, you might ask? Well, it works wonders — in many ways. Specifically, two for me.

~
The most important is relaxation and deep sleep. Every night, I put on a meditation track and lie on the Pranamat for at least thirty minutes to unwind. Sometimes I even fall asleep on it and wake up in the middle of the night, that’s how deeply it relaxes me.

~
Then comes the hardest part — I like to neatly place my seat on it to work lymphatic wonders and help reduce cellulite.

~
Other times, when I need an energy boost, I lie on it for fifteen minutes to reset myself.

~
And yes — back and neck pain. This has been my saviour in almost every situation. The smaller version travels with me around France and the world, as I know that after a long drive or flight my body will be tense.

~
Sometimes, I even like to stand on it, stimulating all the points on my feet — it works wonders.

Is it painful? That depends on you. I started sleeping on it bare-backed from the very first time, but some people prefer to start with a shirt on.

Does it work? It’s a life-saver — and I still praise my doctor who prescribed it to me when I was young and gloriously beautiful :)
