Edible gifts. Flavoured sugars

There is some magic in flavoured sugar. It looks tempting, smells amazing, and tastes great. You don’t need to add a lot of it to food, but it just makes a world of difference. Add the sugar to pancakes, waffle batter, cacao mix, desserts, and even to salad dressing. I love all of them. I would sprinkle some in whipping cream to top coffee or cacao. I add vanilla sugar to brownie batter. Rose sugar just goes great with mascarpone cream layered with mango and papaya. Make all of them as gifts and make someone happy!

Ingredients

raspberry sugar:
250 g light brown sugar
2 tsp limoncello
15 g freeze-dried raspberries
pinch of salt

citrusy sugar:
250 g light brown sugar
1 organic lemon zest, finely grated
1 tbsp orange blossom water
1/4 tsp vanilla powder
1 tbsp lemon juice

rose sugar:
250 g light brown sugar
6 dried rose buds
1/5 tsp tonka bean powder
1 tbsp lemon juice

vanilla sugar:
250 g Demerara sugar
6 cardamom clove seeds, finely crushed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp orange liquor
1/4 tsp vanilla powder

Prepare

Heat the oven 70°. Place baking paper on 2 large pans if making all of different types of sugar at once.

For raspberry sugar. Crush or blend the raspberries (I like to crush them with my hands so that there are some bigger pieces). Mix with sugar, limoncello, and salt so that the sugar is all evenly mixed. Spread on a baking tray in 2-3 mm thickness. Bake in the middle of the oven for 40 minutes.

For citrusy sugar. Mix sugar with all of the ingredients so that everything is evenly mixed. Spread on a baking tray in 2-3 mm thickness. Bake in the middle of the oven for 40 minutes.

For rose sugar. Crush the rose buds into powder. Mix sugar with all of the ingredients so that everything is evenly mixed. Spread on a baking tray in 2-3 mm thickness. Bake in the middle of the oven for 40 minutes.

For vanilla sugar. Mix sugar with all of the ingredients so that everything is evenly mixed. Spread on a baking tray in 2-3 mm thickness. Bake in the middle of the oven for 40 minutes.
