La Brains

I have been in love with LABRAINS for a full four years. Even more, maybe. But the friendship did not come easy; as for someone struggling with skin issues since the age of 21 when an infection was planted in my skin in a saloon, change and any new skincare product that, instead of working, makes everything worse, made me question everything offered to me with much deeper scrutiny.

I remember the message on Instagram with an offer to cooperate. I was hesitant even to answer, and although I did want to try, the trauma of all things tried with a failure at the end made me think.

Somehow, one day I parked outside of their office building in an old wooden house renovated in the most perfect way. We sat down with the owner, sipping tea, and we talked and talked. She told me the harsh story of her skin struggles, even to the point where she would not leave the house because of how bad her skin was, and I was grateful that although I was struggling with my skin, I never got that far. Yet, with skin as it was, even after two rounds of Roaccutane, I was desperate, reluctant, and interested at the same time. I left. With a bag of products to try together with time given to me to do that. With the highest dose of scepticism, I needed one week to actually open and start using the range and two months to realise that I love these products.

Science-based, natural, innovative, environmentally friendly, and high-quality.

The brand was created to help people affected by different skin conditions such as rosacea, acne, and dermatitis, making it possible for the skin to revitalise and get back to the natural beauty we are all born with, taking care of all skin layers, not just the outer one. I love that the brand, combining technology, science, and love for natural products, has managed to turn nature into products that are so natural and actually help to solve the problem.

A brand that is used by my teenage daughters and me, because for me, a person who struggled with acne in my teenage years, then got rid of it and back, there was and is nothing more important than preserving their skin and its natural barrier so that they do not go through the same experience as I did.
