Violette et Berlingot
There is this beautiful alley in the centre of Lyon going under the name Passage de l’Argue. A beautiful way to catch another charm of Lyon and discover lots of interesting shops. But, one shop caught my eye when we moved here, and I had not noticed it before (weirdly). The sweetest shop in Lyon called Violette et Berlingot.
A world of candies, chocolates, sugar-coated almonds, and decadent marzipan next to glazed chestnuts, airy waffles, and the tastiest caramels. A world that invites you to enter, passing by their candy stands so tempting to try. A place that sells the best of the best classics of French sweets but gets very interesting during every festivity, be it Easter, Valentine’s, Last Day of School, Bastille Day, and Christmas (the time I spend a lot of money there to fill up the stockings). It is almost like a museum, but it is a shop of a romantic kind that you see in the movies, with displays that are so inviting and shelves that are filled with so tasty sweets.
