Paris notes. Her birthday

Paris notes. The reason I came. Stayed. HER birthday.

Quiche. Hummus. Peanut butter tiramisu. Dinner with a view of the Eiffel Tower and a walk beforehand to deliver cookies to a very special person (yes, being my friend can be handy, especially when Iโ€™m testing recipes ๐Ÿ™ˆ).

Once again, before going shopping, sipping my cappuccino at Spiced Coffee, but before that, getting lost in the Parfumerie Oriza, where I discovered not only the Fleur dโ€™Oranger and Rose de Damas fragrances, but also generosity, amazing service, lots of laughter, time standing still, and memories of my father growing carnations, brought back by the scent sprayed on my arm.

6th August. The day to remember, as none of us had ever had a picnic on the Champ de Mars and, most probably, never will again: sipping champagne from proper glasses and eating dessert while the Eiffel Tower sparkled in its golden hour. Merci, mon amour Eliza, for getting me to Paris and for experiencing love, friendship and good food.
