19-21 march, 2027. Where Burgundy becomes your home

19-21 march, 2027. Where Burgundy becomes your home
Those of you who have been to my cooking weekends — in France or in Latvia — already know that these days are about far more than cooking. But La Maison de Pommard is something different entirely. Something rarer.
This is not a hotel. It is a private world. La Maison de Pommard belongs to Isabelle de Montille, whose family is woven into the very history of Burgundy — one of the most respected winemaking families in all of France. When you arrive here, you are not a guest in the usual sense. You are welcomed into something that most people will never have access to.
We are a maximum of ten people (or fewer, even). That is intentional. This weekend is intimate by design — because what happens here cannot happen in a crowd. From the moment you arrive, the outside world simply stops. What remains is seasonal French cuisine, laughter, unhurried meals, and the kind of conversation that only happens when remarkable people are placed together in a remarkable setting.
The cooking experience itself is built entirely around wine and the exceptional local produce of Burgundy. Every recipe, every technique, every dish is chosen to complement what is in the glass — and what is on the table is always real, seasonal, and largely organic. These are not complicated showpieces. They are the kind of dishes you will actually make at home, again and again, because they are rooted in simplicity, quality ingredients, and a genuine love of food.
And then there are the wines. Exceptional. Rare. Some from very old vintages, drawn directly from the cellars of La Maison de Pommard. These are not wines you find in a shop. These are wines with a story, with a terroir, with decades behind them — and you will drink them at the table, with food you made yourself, surrounded by people who, by Sunday, will feel like they have known you for years.
This is joie de vivre in its truest form.

Day 1
13:00 – 17:00
Arrival and welcome. You are greeted with a welcome drink and appetisers made from products sourced directly from local growers.
This first afternoon is yours — wind down at La Maison, take a swim, step into the sauna and begin to understand the world you've arrived in.
17:00 – late (because that is simply how the French do it)
Evening masterclass and dinner
We cook together — multiple dishes, each one chosen to complement what is in the glass. Wine pairings with every course. Dinner that stretches long into the evening.
Day 2
8:00 – 9:00
Breakfast
9:15 – 11:30
Market morning. We visit the local market, and it is another story. The same as we step by the local and most famous mustard producer, as one, being in Burgundy, simply must do that.
11:30 – 17:00
Masterclass and lunch
A simple, beautiful lunch built entirely from what’s in season and prepared in no time. Served with champagne and local wine. Followed by free time — pool, sauna, whatever calls you.
Coffee tasting for those who want it.
17:30 – late
Evening masterclass and dinner
More dishes, more pairings. This evening we also look at table setting — because how you present a meal is part of the love you put into it. Dinner follows. Wine flows.
Day 3
9:00 – 10:00
Breakfast
11:00 – 15:00
Lunch masterclass and farewell lunch
We close the weekend the way we spent it — cooking together, eating well, and taking our time. Departure after lunch, or stay a little longer if you are not ready to leave yet. Most people aren't.
