Week 31

From an almost-midnight tiramisu cake delivery to a birthday girl, to eat it on Champs Mars, to running along the Seine, dropping a few cm with the help of Bodysphera, to returning home after a Saturday market as the church lady said, “bien chargé”, with peaches, baguette and a bit more than needed… this week was somewhat of a movie.

A movie where, at one point, you prepare hummus for guests who will eat it overlooking the Eiffel Tower, and then continue eating the leftovers for the next three days in Lyon. In the meantime, when you’re almost off the breakfast table, you go for a coffee date by the lake that ends with fries and everybody evacuated from the park due to a storm coming.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, you discover a new parfumerie in Paris, fall in love, sip coffee overlooking a hotel that tells a story, and laugh your butt off whilst eating Paris’s best pizza, where before that you sip an incredible champagne (only thanks to friends) on the floor somewhere in the 7th arrondissement that somehow feels like home, discussing life, people’s desire to make it overly complicated, and forgetting that there might not be another day.
